What is Kelvin used for?
Kelvin is the SI unit of temperature used in science. 0 K is absolute zero (−273.15°C), the coldest possible temperature. To convert: K = °C + 273.15. So room temperature 20°C = 293.15 K.
Why does the US still use Fahrenheit?
The US is one of the few countries still using Fahrenheit for everyday temperature. °F gives finer granularity without decimals (180 °F between freezing and boiling vs 100 °C), and it persists by convention. This converter bridges the gap for travel, recipes, and weather checks.
